Wantedly call this a hiring freeze tracker, however I would rather calling it a Companies HIRING tracker! Let's put a positive spin on this. There seems to be more green for GO than red for no on this list!!
Wantedly decided that more than just the companies on their platform, it also bears reason to collate a live list of companies in Singapore – whether they are hiring, freezing or seeing layoffs – for the collective benefit of all Singaporeans during this difficult time. Using Airtable integration, design and development of the site took just under a week, and Wantedly populated the initial list of over 100 companies at launch. As a ‘Live’ tracking and user-generated list, the site has also provided a form for companies and individuals to contribute and submit to the rapidly growing list.
I spoke to Andrew Tan the Country Manager for Singapore at Wantedly. He has a passion and compassion for this growing ecosystem of companies and people which was lovely to hear. Wantedly has a passion and pride to grow a community of companies showing the value add for people wanting to join them.
With culture, values and environment becoming some of the most important aspects when top talent chooses to move, this is a great approach to show which businesses really have the finger on the pulse of the changing trends and to help newer generations make their career choices.
