So you are applying for jobs, got your LinkedIn template up to scratch. You are getting responses. What's next?


It's time to get organized!!!


How do you keep track of everything you are doing? Click here for a Job Hunt Spreadsheet which you can use to keep a track of your job search.


Add the LinkedIn url for the person you have connected with. This does not usually change even though their company may when they move jobs.


The notes section can tell you what has been said or where you are with this person, company or job.



ALWAYS put a contact date and then ACTION DATE. This way you never miss out on a potential chace to follow up.


The Job Hunt Spreadsheet also has a second tab where you can list all of the companies which you want to follow or find interesting.


This is a resource you can keep for life or the next time you want to move jobs, so it is great to keep is up to date and keep adding to it.


You may want to add Google Sheets or another cloud based platform to your phone. Then if you see an interesting company or hear of one during a conversation you can add this while you are on the go!!
